A Revolutionary Day

This afternoon we learned about the day that started the revolutionary war here in Lexington and Concord. The site of the first Battles is very close to Sudbury.  There is a National Park site that has a multimedia show that tells the story about how Paul Revere rode his horse from Boston to Lexington and warned the towns people that the British soldiers were marching out to Concord.  He asked them to spread the warning and gather colonists.   We saw a tavern from that time. It was on the battle road from April 19, 1775.

We came home and had an entertaining evening and bbq with Emily's Aunt, Cousin and Grandma.
Later Emily chose a song to prepare for a class she is taking on Sunday.

  1. I feel Anne will have learned more in history, geography, art and gardening during her stay in Sudbury, than what she had learned during the last past 14 years!

    Is that correct Anne ?
