budapest farewell day

all day in Budapest.  we slept like a log and were in no rush to get out. after breakfast with two of our new friends we took a cab to the Horror museum.. no vampires though it was a museum about ww2 when the 60,000 jews were shipped out and then right after that the comunists took over for 40 years .  all sorts of testimonies of survivers from both horrors. the museum was incredibly well done and very sad. in the actual building that both Nazi and communist used for headquarters and temperary imprisonment, tourture and hangings during the communisttimes.  A story that people should never forget.

We saw the beautiful inside and out of the opera house and wandered around polking into shops and cafes .  Tonigh was a fairwell dinner at a modern Hungarian restaurant. a nuvel twist on traditional food.  I have good photos to add later. so please our tiny group of readers check back in a few days.

up in the dark to leave for the airport. really. bags out at 2:45 on the bus to the airport at 3:30.  Yawn!
