Sunday in Bordeaux

 A sunny day begins after breakfast with a late morning bike ride for Jim and Antoine. The girl Agnes and I head off to the modern art museum which was in a renovated factory building.We wandered through the Sunday farmers market to shop for the meals of the day and some for the week. At the end we had the treat of some fresh oysters a specialty of the area. You can imagine the wonderful fresh meals that we had today. After a leisurely lunch and good conversation (joined again by Jim) we headed off by trolly to the botanical gardens on the other side of the river. This side of the city is not as old or popular because for many years it was not easy to get there sine ther was only zone bridge. We stopped back to the festival to see an exhibit and get ice cream for Emily. It was time to return to Agnes's home to meet her boyfriend Christophe for dinner. We ate the Asian treats we got at the market. Alway finishing off with cheese. We had the added treat of fresh figs and the entertainment of Christphe playing Flaminco guitar. The girls headed off to a concert sponsored by the local radio station and Jim an I met them 10:45 for the amazing light show on the walls of the buildings in a plaza followed By a full fireworks display. Walked back and now sleep. We leave Emily in the morning.off to the countryside. Emily will have 5 days being entertained by Annea and Agnes. We hope to see blog posts from her as well as Jesse. It is 1:00 am so to sleep now.... Tired and a long drive for us tomorrow.
